BEBE SWEETBRIAR arrived on the scene a short while ago, and immediately became a force to reckon with. Winning two of the three prominent drag pageants by becoming Miss Gay San Francisco 2008 and Miss Desperate DIVA 2008, she has worked tirelessly as a fundraiser for the likes of the AIDS Housing Alliance, Under One Roof, Larkin Street Youth, Lyric, GLAAD and many more. Her charitable work has earned her recognition by the California State Assembly with a Proclamation from Assemblyman Mark Leno, and she has become a household name in the San Francisco gay community.

As an entertainer and hostess, BeBe can be scene every week hosting and performing at countless events and parties in the City. Included are her weekly award-winning Brain Farts Trivia Night and the fund-raising Charity Feud. One of the few drag personalities to sing live while performing, BeBe has literally graced every notable stage in San Francisco, bridging many gay sub-community gaps. She has also been the opening act for Destiny’s Child Kelly Rowland, “Ugly Betty’s” Alec Mapa and comedienne Shirley Q. Liquor. Adding recording artist to her list of performance accomplishments, Ms. Sweetbriar has completed her first dance single, “Save Me,” soon to be released nationally with an accompanying music video.

As an actress, BeBe was introduced to film with a lead role in the independent film “Under One Sun” with her character dealing with religious, racial and gender issues. Additionally, she appeared in the campy musical “Devious, Inc” working with former Miss Trannyshacks Precious Moments, Fauxnique, and Pollo Del Mar. Both of these performances led to her selection for the lead role in Aisha Media’s next film to begin production in the summer of 2009.

As a columnist, Ms. Sweetbriar is a regular contributor for EdgeSanFrancisco.com with her weekly FAME column. She has interviewed Lady Gaga, Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child, Academy Award Winner Dustin Lance Black, and Jennifer Holliday to name a few.

SUPPOSITORI SPELLING is the internationally prominent San Francisco personality, consistently raising (and intentionally lowering) the bar for the alternative drag scene since 1997. Since her crowning of the Ms. Trannyshack 2002 title, some of her many career highs include performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Scotland, in 2007) and Glastonbury Festival (England, in 2007 and 2009); a starring role as Jeremy Starr in the upcoming feature film "The Rise And Fall Of Jeremy Starr" (2009); and emceeing at the Folsom Street Fair in 2007. Suppositori's inception, production and weekly hosting of the annoyingly popular Cocktailgate has been putting a spell on her audiences at Truck Bar each Sunday since 2007. Suppositori Spelling can be found at www.facebook.com/suppositorispelling and www.youtube.com/missspelling COCKTAILGATE is every Sunday night, 8:00pm to close with a show at 9:00pm. TRUCK is at 1900 Folsom Street at the corner of 15th Street.
