DJ Joshua J. is a notorious gay nightlife club promoter and electro-house DJ here in San Francisco. Joshua J’s parties are known to be filled with club lands hottest boys, fiercest drag queens, rowdiest dykes, and most glamorous fashionistas. Currently, Joshua J throws down his filthy and addictive dance beats at the weekly dance party Booty Call Wednesdays at Q-Bar, in the heart of the Castro with long time business partner Juanita More! Joshua J also is the sole producer and promoter of BIG TOP – A Homo Disco Circus, the monthly super gay mega club that happens the last Saturdays in SoMa at Club 8, and BUTCH QUEEN Tuesdays, a new weekly gay gathering at Delirium in the Mission. Joshua J’s parties have played host to world-class performers and DJs, such as Lady Miss Kier “of” Deee-Lite, Amanda Lepore and Cazwell, and Kim Ann Foxman and Andy Butler “of” Hercules and Love Affair.
Beyond his weekly and monthly events, Joshua J also co-produces MR., the annual gay pride mustache party alongside Juan Garcia, David Peterson, and Jose of Fag Fridays. In addition, Joshua J teams up annually with Heklina to throw Trannyshack vs Big Top. |
