| Groin is the clothing optional multi-media audio-visual experience from
Los Angeles. Fronted by former Cosmo centerfold Dan Krisher, Groin is
known for its first-rate musicianship, cutting-edge electronics and
provocative performances. “We’re feminists who write songs about naturism,
our love of Hugo Chavez and our dislike of people who wear boat shoes.”
Last year the band rocked the crowd with its ode to punk rock, circa 1976.
This year the band will present a more electronic, computer-based sound.
“Last year we lugged a bunch of heavy amps and shit. This year we’ll just
have laptops so we can fly up instead of drive. I don’t know why we didn’t
think of this before.” The press has described Groin as everything from a
male version of Le Tigre to “a blatant, exhitionist mix of punk rock, glam
and filth.”
