Ukraine born producer/remixer/DJ Playdoughboy as been DJing since 1998. He always was
interested in the nature of sound. So he started experimenting in
1996 along with Paul Pyshkin. The experiments moved from analog
reel-to-reel recordings to sequencing programs such as Impulse Tracker and
Buzz Digital Composer. The collaboration got the name Asylum Group in 1997
with their first radio featured track "Doesn't Sound (Sequencer)".
Playdoughboy became a member of the Union Project as a DJ. Union Project
is a techno promo group in Kharkov that later on changed their name to
MEGATEQ. Megateq are: DJ D.Just and DJ Sean. After moving to California in
2000 Playdoughboy continued collaborating with Paul and Asylum Group as
well as starting up a solo project, integrating some hardware pieces into
the software based studio, concentrating on electro house sound.
From
December 2005 until June 2006 Playdoughboy was an on-air DJ at KSJS 90.5FM
in San Jose, CA, and also DJing at San Francisco clubs.
Playdoughboy has previously played records and performed live at such San
Francisco clubs as boca, Mighty, Cocomo, Loft 11, Studio Z, Club 6, RX
Gallery, Zebra Lounge, Whisper and more... He volunteered at the Love Parade San
Francisco 2004. Playdoughboy also appeared on the El Otro Mundo Sessions on
Pulse Radio and his tracks were aired on radio stations all over SF Bay
Area, as well as Master Radio in Kharkov and radio stations in Ireland and
Canada. |
